He seemed excited to face Anderson, who recently achieved a big milestone in cricket. Mr. Sunak joked with Anderson to take it easy on him. But Anderson just said, “We’ll see.” Mr. Sunak did well against Anderson’s deliveries, impressing everyone, including young players.

Clearly enjoying himself, Mr. Sunak joked, “Looks like I’ll be here all day. I’ll let my office know I’ll be back later.” He also took photos and signed autographs for fans.

Posting the video on X, Mr. Sunak asked the England team if he’s ready to join them. They replied, “Not bad, maybe a few more practice sessions first.”

The UK Prime Minister said they’ll spend £35 million to build 16 domes in cities holding T20 World Cup matches in 2026 and 2030. These domes will let people play cricket all year. Mr. Sunak, who also likes cricket, said they’re giving this money to help over 900,000 young people start playing cricket. He said this on X, on Friday.

England and Wales will hold the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup. Then, in 2030, England, Scotland, and Ireland will host the men’s version.
