Mysore Warriors captain Karun Nair showcased outstanding form in the 14th match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024, playing a pivotal innings against the Hubli Tigers on Wednesday, August 21, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After Hubli Tigers captain Manish Pandey won the toss and chose to bowl, LR Kumar struck early, dismissing Mysore Warriors opener Karthik CA for just one run in the second over. Karun Nair, stepping in at No. 3, stabilized the innings by forming a 59-run partnership with SU Karthik for the second wicket, with Karthik contributing 34 runs off 36 balls before getting out.
Fresh off an unbeaten 124 in the previous match, Nair continued his excellent form, scoring a brisk 66 off 36 balls, including seven boundaries and three sixes.

Thanks to Nair’s captaincy knock, Mysore Warriors managed to post 165 runs before being bowled out in 19.3 overs. LR Kumar and Manvanth Kumar L were the pick of the bowlers for Hubli, each claiming three wickets.
Jagadeesha Suchith Stars with the Ball for Mysore Warriors
Chasing 166, Hubli Tigers got off to a quick start with opener Mohammed Taha scoring 22 off just eight balls before being dismissed by Vidyadhar Patil in the third over. His partner, Thippa Reddy, fell soon after to Krishnappa Gowtham.
The Tigers continued to lose wickets regularly and found themselves struggling at 53-4 after the powerplay. Left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith turned the game in Mysore’s favor, striking twice in the seventh over and putting Hubli in a dire situation.
The Warriors’ bowlers maintained pressure throughout, leading to Hubli’s downfall. Captain Manish Pandey struggled to find form, managing only 18 runs off 26 balls. Hubli Tigers were eventually bowled out for 109 in 17 overs, giving Mysore Warriors a commanding 56-run victory. Suchith was the standout performer with the ball, taking four wickets for just 14 runs in his four-over spell.
