Jal Shakti Minister felicitated winners of Ganga Quest 2022 during “Yamuna par Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”

New Delhi: India has completed 75 years of independence and the entire country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Continuing the nation-wide celebrations, Jal Shakti Ministry felicitated the winners of Ganga Quest 2022. Ganga Quest is an online annual quiz organised by National Mission for Clean Ganga and Tree Craze Foundation on www.clap4ganga.com.

Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti congratulated and felicitated the winners of Ganga Quest 2022. In a brief interaction, winners shared their experience of participating in the quiz. Some shared that they have become more sensitive towards environment after preparing for Ganga Quest. Few participants said they feel a sense of devotion towards not just Ganga but all rivers of the country because of what they learnt during the quiz. They also shared that while they were participating their family member & friends also took interest.

Congratulating the winners, Jal Shakti minister said, “Namami Gange team should also be congratulated. They have approved that with determination even a mammoth task can be achieved with ease”.

Hon’ble Minister also launched “River Champ” course; an online learning space designed for self-learners as well as for academic curriculum enrichment. River Champ course, developed by Tree Craze Foundation will be available on www.clap4ganga.com portal. It is not just an ordinary environment awareness course but it will motivate people to take action and be part of the solution.

Shri G. Asok Kumar, Director General, NMCG added that Namami Gange has been organising many events like this to make river cleaning a Janandolan (people’s movement) and fulfil our Prime Minister’s vision. He also thanked various NGOs working with Namami Gange to make it a successful program. Shri S P Vashishth, ED Admin NMCG shared that nearly 7.1 lakh people from across the world participated in Ganga Quest 2022.
